A personalised training programme is an exercise plan that Kaloyan Zarkov writes specially for you. It takes into account your goal, your level, old injuries and pain, and whether you train in a gym, at home or outdoors. What sets it apart from ready-made programmes is that a kinesitherapist (physiotherapist) writes it. So it also suits people who have had an injury or pain and want to train safely.
What to expect
First, Kaloyan asks what you want to achieve: more strength, better fitness, getting back to sport after an injury, less back pain. He also asks how many times a week you can train and what equipment you have. Then he checks how you move: how you squat and bend, your balance, and how mobile your shoulders and pelvis are. The first conversation and the movement check can be in person, for example during a consultation, or by phone, message or email. This shows him which exercises suit you and which are better left for later.
The programme contains specific exercises, the number of sets and reps, and how to increase the load over time. Kaloyan shows you the exercises in person or explains them by phone, message or email. When you are there in person, he also watches how you do them, so you know what correct technique looks like. If you have pain or an old injury, the programme also includes exercises that protect that area. The programme runs for 2 months and Kaloyan sends it by email. During that time you can message him with questions at no extra cost.
Who it’s for
- You want to start training but don’t know where to begin.
- You have finished rehabilitation and want to carry on alone without the problem coming back.
- You have back or knee pain and want to train without making it worse.
- You have trained for years but have hit a plateau or often get injured.
- You are preparing for a specific goal: a mountain trek, the ski season, your first 10 km run.
If you currently have severe pain or a recent injury, start with a consultation or kinesitherapy (exercise and manual therapy). The programme comes after the pain has eased.
